robin is still the same age in this au, so despite starting off as teenager & being based on a typically teenage character, he will be an adult during any rp.
after being abandoned by his parents at age 12, park robin was left to fend for himself on the streets of seoul city for several years- before he was caught stealing from the richest man in korea! but instead of call the police, this man took robin in and raised him as his own. from rags to riches, robin thought life couldn't get any better; and that's when he found out that not only was his new caretaker a millionaire, he was also the masked vigilante who had been keeping seoul safe for nearly a decade. robin decided there and then- no matter what, he'd be a superhero! it took a lot of convincing and even more training before he was finally able to take to the streets- but now he's been fighting for years! taking on the codename red, robin does whatever he can to keep the streets safe, by his partner's side or on his own!
this au is very heavily based on batman and particularly the character of robin (taking inspiration from elements of every incarnation!), but due to the fact that robin is obviously his given name and therefor not a very good secret identity, robin's codename is red. this verse is strictly literate and will never be brought up or acknowledged on timelime, as interaction with robin as part of this au will take place in specific DMs. i will create a seperate chat for any threads that take place in this au, and it must not leak out of that chat.
there are three main ways this verse can be played out;
fellow heroes: your muse is another superhero. for older muses, perhaps they could take on the 'batman' role and robin is their sidekick! other than that, they could just be fellow crimefighters! potential plots for other heroes could include working together on patrol, clashing with eachother/rivalry, tending eachothers wounds. i am open to any idea!
villains: a superhero needs someone to fight! your muse is a bad guy; be that a regular criminal or supervillain! this could included plots such as conflict/battle, being friends as civilians- unaware of their secret identities, or interrogation. again, suggestions are more than welcome!
regular people: people coming into contact with robin as red, without being vigilantes themselves. maybe they're being saved, maybe they disagree with vigilantes, maybe the figure out his identity, ect.
